Vertigo

No, not Hitchcock's Vertigo with James Stewart and Kim Novak. Since I did not participated in the Schnaps drinking it was a little strange that I was feeling dizzy and light headed on Sunday. I have first noticed it on Saturday evening as I got out of the car @ Walgreen's. Glad I was not swaying towards the liquor store. One could get the wrong impression. So Sunday really was a day of doing nothing, except for me trying to figure out what was going on with me. My blood pressure was high. At some point it was 167/108. Scary, to say the least. I went to see the doc on Monday, telling me I very likely were suffering from vertigo. He showed me some exercises I should do @ home, which I did. And I almost got rid of the dizziness. My blood pressure is still high and I will keep a watchful eye on that.

Jam-Session @ Springer's on Monday. We enjoyed it very much.

Key West was on Hans Christian's wishlist for Tuesday. Being good tourist guides we've made a trip into BPK's woods to show him the famous key deer.

This deer was just staring at us
I had a few things on my list, as always when we go somewhere else than Marathon "City". Also Ken gave us a list with goodies. Mouthwatering clam chowder might find the way to us. But really, Ken, peanut butter filled pretzels? Yuck! Key West itself was "dead". No tourists, aka no ship. So nice without the crowd and the weather was just perfect, sunny with a little breeze. We walked along Mallory Square and made a loop around the harbor. We just came in time for the Tarpon feeding.

Some of the Tarpons here are approx. 60 lbs. Out in the ocean they can get up to 150 lbs (so noted on a sign). A fish not suitable for eating, all bones, but a good sport fish.

The pelicans are flying in - hoping for their share.
H.C. is already in position to capture the mayhem
It always amazes me that nobody gets hurts. The Tarpons with their powerful tails and the Pelicans with their beak. The water seems to boil when the fish hits the water.  I would guess the share is 50/50. Now it's time for us to grab a bite at my favorite place: Fogarty's ...yum.

H.C. "schlepped" his rather large suitcase to the car and is all teary-eyed as he is getting ready to say good-by. It might be a few years before we will see each other, again. I don't think we will meet in Denmark, though. Been there, done that, next.

H.C. is almost all set for this trip to Orlando, where he will be another week, attending Sun & Fun. It's an International Fly-in & Expo, celebrating their 40th year. Rupert is trying to set up the TomTom so H.C.'s travel will be smooth and H.C. doesn't become one of  those people mentioned on the bill boards on the Turnpike as an silver alert.
Safe travels, H.C. -  hope to see you, again!

Now, off to clean the guest room. But the guest room will not be inhabitable for quite a while, as it will be a storage room (as so often), for our next big project, and it will drive me crazy. But the outlook of the finished project will make it worthwhile. You'll see, just wait.

Meanwhile Rupert is tackling the brake light on the Shovelhead. It is supposed to be working. All is in order (fuses and bulb OK, got power), nevertheless, the brake light is not working. Now what? So frustrating. She will be @ our trusty mechanic, Sandy, tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll be "off the rock", doing some shopping @ Aldi's, hustle for some other things and errands along the way and fulfill yet another request, this time from Donnie. We will pick up the steel he has ordered so he can get "Marquesa" fixed up. Maybe and just maybe we will stop @ Olive Garden.
