The princess and the pea & Shangri-La

I slept like a baby in that monstrous bed. Need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night? Watch your step, you may break your neck. :-)

After breakfast we went back to Hall's Harbor to see the low tide and walk on the Ocean floor.

We had a nice drive to Burntcoat and made a stop in Kentville. Apparently there was a Farmer's market with live music. What a quaint little town. I was so excited to finally be able to buy some fresh fruit and veggies and maybe some local stuff. We made it into the market square, heard some music...and....we blinked...Oh no, there he was, the Farmer's Market. All of five (5) stands. One had homemade soap to sell, another was a food table were we ate the most delicious Indian fried lentil/chickpea patty, one information stand, one cookie stand and finally a fruit/veggie stand. And the music was playing, it was a joy! After all of 15 minutes we had a dear desire to find us a NSLS which is the State owned liquor store and get us some reeeal good wine. LOL. Did I mentioned that alcohol is kinda expensive in NS? Anyway....

I also did mention that the people in NS are extremely friendly, right? Along our trip we found what we thought an abandoned house. No tire marks visible that let to the house, no people around, it looked empty to us.

So we get out of the car to make a few pics. As I got out of the car I see a car driving by real slow and the driver was looking at us. The car slows even more, turns around and comes toward us. Oh, buy, are be being chased away or worse for trespassing? We are all smiles and ready to apologize. Far wrong, this guy is just a friendly guy inquiring if we want to buy a house. And by the way further down the road is another one to sell, real nice, he's looking for one as well...yada-yada...SCARY! this friendliness. You couldn't do that in Florida, one would be shot dead.

Our next lodging was located in Burntcoat Park & Lighthouse. We found the "park" but according to our trusty TomTom (GPS) we were 15 miles off. A few houses, a Pub, a park with the Lighthouse. Blink....

After consulting a plain old paper map we found our way to Shangri-La. If you are ever in that region make sure to spend a night there. I mean really, it's well worth the money. Only 3 Cottages with an undisturbed breath taking view of the ocean.

A little resting and enjoying the sun before we stick our chicken and potatoes in the oven, put dressing on our salad and open a bottle (maybe another one) of wine.

What a gorgeous day! We had it all...
