Red Rock Country

May 3rd, already. So much to see, so little time. First we made a trip to Montezuma's Castle before heading back to Sedona, to do the eastern loop and some other side kicks.

More cliff dwellings @ Montezuma's Castle- unreal

When I take the pictures I think I will remember the names of things....well, I don't. ;-) Rupert does: Cathedral Rock
Now that we have a variety of cacti, Rupert is in his "designer mode". To properly display (plant) them (don't know where) we need to HAVE red dirt. Best way to get it is at the source, right?

Three bags full of red dirt
Sedona is such a beautiful area. We have spend a lot of time in the surroundings. Next was the "Sliding Rock" just a bit north. A nice park where families spend
a day, like a water-park. We watched young and old jumping off into the cold water.....

......and sliding down the river bed
Uptown Sedona can be compered with Key West. Much nicer, though. A lot of little store, galleries, and my most favorites, Indian Trading Posts. I have to see them all (much to Rupert's dismay). Oh well.

Let here go...is that what they are saying?

Originally we wanted to stay a night right at the Grand Canyon, instead we stayed another night in Cottonwood and made a day trip to the Grand Canyon. But that's on next days agenda.

Still miffed that the laptop would not connect to the wi-fi, no wi-fi at our site, no way to write down and keep track of everything.
