Like I have mentioned before, we have made a detour to Page,
AZ. The drive north on 89 is short and sweet. And I swear, no matter where we
are going, the wind is blowing at us. Even though we drive through a haze, it
is amazing how the scenery chances with every corner we take. Passing (kind of)
the north rim of the Grand Canyon, we drive
through vast land, on the right side we can see the Painted Dessert.

Around us
what looks like sand, is actually grass.
Soft rolling hills on the left, rugged mountains on the left.

Then, all of the sudden, hills that look like some piled sand in the middle of nowhere in a working area.

Our new base is surrounded by red mountains. Awesome. A quick drive into town where we booked our tour for the next day, followed with dinner at THE best Mexican Restaurant ever.
7:45 on Tuesday we are ready with 22 more people to explore Antelope Canyon. It was like the headline says;
visual overload. But see for yourself.
This is called Candle Stick Canyon
very fitting, I just hold up a flashlight, the canyon provides the flame.
I must have taken umpteen pictures. Our tour guide lady was
fun-fabulous! Our group had a lot of time to spend in the Canyon. See showed us
how to set the camera, where and how to take pictures. She also made picture of
us with our cameras. Mind boggling is what we saw.
At the end of the tour, the masses were coming in. So glad
we did the early tour. Back into town were we got the laptop fixed. Don’t ask….I
am still *&^%. Anyway, I got caught up on our trip. One more dinner at the
famous Mexican restaurant. “Schnapsy-time, more writing and loading pics (takes
forever). I am ready for bed, the posting of the last blogs have to wait.
